Companies Using Adobe Flex In London?

We are trying to find out who is using Adobe Flex in London on a commercial basis. We have heard that there is a project at Tequila London (agghhh they need to sort their site out!) for Canon, but that seems to be winding up now. If you know of any other Flex activity let us know!

We’re currently working on four Flex with ColdFusion projects at the moment!

Oh, and we’re hiring permanent staff at the moment if anyone is looking!

  2. Chester Says:

Nice, can you reveal what they are? I do know there are some contract guys out there, but the perm side of things is looking quite dry…

  3. Jamie Badman Says:

I’m working at Deutsche Bank currently where we’re developing a couple of applications in Flex. Looking good, too. Hope this user group takes off. (P.S. Hi Niklas!)

  4. Chester Says:

Thanks for letting us know. We are going to try and get the UG up and running properly in the next 3 months, and Adobe are going to hopefully sort out some great speakers for us.

  5. Niklas Richardson Says:

    Hi Chester,

Unfortunately can’t give anything away just yet - but I’ll keep you posted!

Yeah - the market is rather dry! Grumble grumble!

    Hi Jamie! :)

    Cheers

    Hi there,

We are looking for some one to develop our property portal using flex, coldfusion & MySQL. It would be a development opportunity for someone who either has some spare time, or wants to build up their portfolio. Most of the graphic’s have been done and the layout has been designed on paper. It would also be using API mapping and any other scripting that they want to use.

If anyone is interested then email me at Dave.Robertson@hotmail.co.uk

    Cheers

    Dave :)

Un-retiring after returning from the US. In my own time reworking a system for head trama patients that I prototyped in Flash/Coldfusion back in 2005, but am looking for a proper money-earning job as well.

Although i am relatively new to the Flex side of things, I do have 40 years of picking up new languages and techniques quickly. My main assets are :-

    a) being able to take complex problems and break them up into a
    series of simpler, solvable, problems.

    b) writing code that is easy to debug … rather than clever

    c) I bring with me a lot of experience on how other projects
encountered and overcame problems, reducing the amount
    of wheel reinventing required.
